10 weeks pregnant! That is just over 2 months into the cycle and almost at the end of the first trimester. The fetus concludes its "embryonic period" and the physical structure gradually becomes more identifiable. The organs and internal systems are developed now and the tail finally shrinks away. The baby now is only a little over an inch long and weighs around 4 grams. Finger and toe nails start to grow at week 10 and tiny hairs also begin to appear. The genitalia gradually become distinct, but it is still too early to determine the gender of the baby.

At 10 weeks pregnant, the expectant mother will begin to feel the changes in her body as the waistline increases with the expanding uterus. The morning sickness from the early weeks slowly fades out at this stage. Adequate hydrations and a healthy and nutritious diet enriched with essential vitamins are recommended.
